This minimalist kitchen really benefits from the absolutely striking raw wood countertop. So unique and beautiful. I really can’t take my eyes off it.
It’s Cocktail Week at The Kitchn, so we’re going to be pushing nibbles and drinks on you all week, in one big happy hour. We’ll have smart ideas for pitcher drinks and easy cocktails, little snacks to go with that drink (up first, savory scones!), and yes, plenty of non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic drinks that everyone can enjoy. What would you like to talk about this week? Any cocktail topics you’re curious about or obsessed with at the moment? What’s the best cocktail hour appetizer you’ve discovered lately?
Every week I look forward to Dana Velden’s Weekend Meditation here at The Kitchn. Her small essays always prompt me towards thoughtfulness and gratitude, and peel back new layers of thinking about the kitchen, the home, and living in the world. Dana has this weekend off, but we didn’t want to leave you without a dose of meditation. Here is a look back at 10 of our favorite meditations from Dana, all with an eye towards spring and new beginnings. Enjoy!
