Herby Lemony Chicken Thighs with Potatoes Is Spring In a Skillet


Someone recently pointed out that many of my recipes start with ‘Lemony’ to describe the predominant flavors of the recipe. After a moment of recalling some of my favorite dishes (I see you Lemony Brussels Sprouts Pasta), I realized that lemon does play a large role in most of them because I’m a big fan. Lemon adds acidity, brightness and freshness (and a bit of color when serving some on the side), plus I almost always have some in the house.

The Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger


Growing up on the West Coast, I had two favorite burger chains. One was Carl’s Jr., the home of the Western Bacon Cheeseburger, a burger patty layered with cheese, bacon, bbq sauce, and onion rings. And of course there’s In-N-Out Burger, a chain known for its secret menu and for for using fresh ingredients. When I was creating this bacon cheeseburger I looked to both of those iconic burger joints for inspiration.
