5 Dairy-Free Desserts for Warm Weather
Regardless of the season, my go-to dessert when people come over to visit has always been ice cream. However, I have a handful of friends who’ve recently gone dairy-free, so I’ve been creatively challenged when thinking about something other than sorbet, sherbet or fresh fruit to serve to my old ice cream homies when they stop by in the evening. Now I have a few new ideas.

Sliced apples are partially cooked on top of the stove with water, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then they ‘re ladled into containers and frozen. You ‘ll have enough for five 9-inch pies.”

I have been insanely curious to try this gluten-free pale ale from Omission Beer ever since I first heard about it. Gluten-free beers are notoriously mediocre, but this one has been making waves of the omgwow! sort in the beer community. Until very recently, Omission’s beers were only available in Oregon and a few select bars outside the state, so when I saw a bottle at my favorite local brew shop, I snatched it up and headed straight home.
