Is it even possible to get through the farmers market this time of year without filling half our bags with fruit? I don’t think so. But that’s ok, because then we have an excuse to make things like this peach pie ice cream with its jammy swirls of fruit and buttery hunks of pie crust, or those breakfast scones from Big Sur Bakery with whole blackberries tucked into every bite. Even better, juice your leftover watermelon and make yourself a cocktail! Have no fear — we have plenty of ideas for how you can justify another pint of berries in your basket.

Cookies & Cream by Tessa Arias — New Cookbook
I would like to state for the record that one can never have too many ice cream sandwiches, particularly between the months of July and September. I did find one recipe for (actual) watermelon muffins and I had to try it. Was it worth it? Well…

Becca’s “Just Enough Space to Dabble” Oakland Kitchen — Kitchen Tour
“I feel like I’m on a boat.” These are the words I found escaping my mouth while spending time with Becca Piastrelli in her narrow Oakland, CA kitchen. She laughed and agreed her tiny kitchen is reminiscent of a ship’s galley — cozy, bright, and a bit quirky!
