Let it be known that 2016 is the year of oddly colored foods. There’s the whole rainbow bagel obsession, then blue wine, black ice cream, and now there are black hot dogs. That’s right — IKEA is serving up all-black hot dogs (or “Ninja Dogs”) in Japan for 300 yen ($2.95) to celebrate their 10th anniversary in the country.

Move Over, Hot Dogs! There’s a Kale-Eating Competition Happening This Weekend. — Food News

There are a lot of strange food-eating competitions out there, but I never saw this one coming. At this year’s Taste of Buffalo event, there will be the first-ever kale-eating competition, or, as it’s being called, the “Kale Cup.” Participants will have eight minutes to consume as much kale as possible. The grand-prize winner will take home a cool $2000.

Just imagine all of that roughage.

Summertime is all about light, fresh meals, and these teriyaki chicken lettuce wraps fit the bill exactly.

The chicken filling is flavored with a homemade teriyaki sauce. You could substitute your favorite store-bought teriyaki sauce in this recipe, but making your own is easy. I also find store-bought sauce to be too sweet for my taste, so I like that I can control the amount of sugar that goes into this sauce.
